I read from one of my blogger friends about the story of a mother having a dyslexia child. It’s so easy to read about it from any reading materials. But when it happened to our friend, you start to feel different about it. It’s like something new, strange, unnormal thing had happened.
And yesterday, my hubby posed me : “Is our daughter a hyper active aggressive kid?” He asked because one of the distant cousins is having that disorder. I know he is just a bit worried. So I told him that our child is not having that.
Our girl is one active girl who can stay up just because she wants to play. She is not the type who can sit on the floor at a long period, happily playing with toys. You will see her sitting down for a few minutes, then off running here and there. Another few minutes she will be crawling, pretending she is a cat. Next she will start to rock on the rocking chair or cycling on the tricycle. And there is always something she will say to you. In full expressive way!
So here I am feeling that it is not easy to be a parent. I was able to answer my husband’s question confidently because I have read somewhere about this children disorder. Thus the knowledge is within me. But not on dyslexia. And this just overwhelms me.
I admit that I have came across some articles on dyslexia in many reading materials. But I never gave it a serious thinking about it. Only after I have read about this happening to one of my friends, do I really start to take it seriously.
For our children sake, we as parents really do have to equip ourselves with the necessary knowledge. Just imagine if our child have autism or dyslexia or any disorder or illness that we just didn't notice it! I do know that some or most of us are busy & too caught up with our daily lives . Thus , it's easy not to notice any physical or obvious signs & symptons.
But if we just have that little knowledge inside all of us, I'm sure we will be doing them a very big help. Actually help is not the correct word to use..Cause it's our responsibilities to raise them up to be a good human being.
So count our blessing when our children is sparred from all those things. As for the others, lend them an extra help if can, or even our ears, or even understanding.
In the mean time, it's back to reading. Read and read...

its not easy kan? tapi sometimes taking care of our children is a piece of cake compared to bila boss give us a task...hehehe
easy ke tak ke, its the most rewarding. i find myself reading so many books about childcare now. there' just so many things i didnt know. thank god for the journey on the lrt, and the stay-in-lunches, at least i've got time to read something that interest me
eiseai: boss's task is different la.. :)
Yep, besarkan budak is so rewarding..even when they are sick..
Huhuhu, it's not easy...especially if most of the responsibility is given to you. Child at age 2 mostly like that, it's good that they love to play. With parental guidance, soon they will be well behaved.
Yaya:For me,child raising is both parents responsibilities. The child will benefit more as this will shape their future personality & behaviour later. No matter how busy we are as working parents, spending a little quality time with our child is better than none at all. A hug& kiss in the morning/after work, or talks during meal time will do wonder for any child.
Tell me about it! Aidan is so hyperly active... some say that he is so "buas". Some told me that child age 2 memang behave this way.
I just hope Adnan would be less hyper active.. Crossing my finger! Hahaha!!!
Dotty: My terrible two stage is here at last.. Arissa is getting a lot smarter thesedays. She's not naughty .But she can really test your patience, judgement & reaasoning skill! Alhamdulillah she is a smart & so peka kind of girl.. :)
